New Site Generator, New Beginnings

It's been a really long while since I last worked on my website at all. In fact, consider this to be a completely brand new start.

Where should I begin?

On the technical side of things, I've found a limitation with the Hugo site generator. I've encountered issues with getting the correct version of Node.js to work properly with the configuration files for both my website and that of my band, which resulted in changes not being deployed. That's not a good sign. Ergo, I've had to switch over to something that's much more manageable behind the scenes.

As for my personal life, I've been around. I wouldn't say that I've been busy because my current job is a part time one. Having said that, the nature of my job is quite physically draining, and I usually end up crashing out when I get back from work.

It's a bit of a wonder that I can get anything done with how much I've been sleeping.

I've also gotten into gaming after several years of being put off by the whole tech-bro vibes of the PC gaming scene. While not exactly perfect, gaming on Linux is a legit thing (thanks to Proton), and I've been having fun seeing just how many games I can run on low-end hardware.

Here's to hoping that I'll be more active fron now on.
