As an educator, I firmly believe in the growth mindset. It’s never too late to learn something new and, by doing so, you’ll be able to reap the benefits in the future. If it weren’t for my decision to learn Japanese on a whim in 2015, I would have struggled to live in Japan for as long as I did.

If you, as my future prospective employer, are balking at the thought of having to train me to do something, please be assured: I am a quick learner as it’s pretty likely I’ll have some basic knowledge (direct or indirect) of the matter hidden away in my mind.
